You’ll have to excuse me for the next little bit. I am so busy. I’ve always been busy, but even this is pushing it for me.
Between two kids, packing up for the move, cleaning, laundry, pastorate studies, bible readings, She Made It Homemade’s, and taking care of myself, I hardly have any time to write. I’m not complaining though. This is exactly what I’ve wanted.
This list of mine is nothing but answered prayers.
Once we finally move, I’m sure life will, once again, slow down and allow myself more time for writing, but for now, instead of forcing something out, just to have something filling space, I think I’m going to take this time for reflection.
I will be beginning to read the Old Testament today. If I can be honest with you, I’ve never really ‘read’ the Old Testament and the parts that I did read, well, I wasn’t real interested in the story line..
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the Old Testament is not important, quite the contrary, I believe it is just as important as the rest of the bible, but I just never really had the desire to read it, until now.
I’m excited to have the Old Testament reveal itself to me in a way that has never happened before. I am praying for the Holy Spirit to fill me and help me navigate through the complicated names and never-ending family lines. (Those really bore me.)
And I figured that once I started reading, then maybe I would have something to write about because surely, there are others out there just like myself, intimidated by the Old Testament and unsure of where to begin.
If anyone would like to join me, please, I invite you to do so. Just leave me a comment with your email and we will get something going.
